Dry Cleaning Plus, a business of Richard and Judith Stone, is a leader in consulting and business matchmaking on the East Coast. The Stones have long been active in the dry cleaning industry, establishing hundreds of contacts from Maine to Florida, both before and after starting Dry Cleaning Plus in 1989. The company operates exclusively in the fabricare industry specializing in “matchmaking” which is the art of putting together buyers and sellers who can consummate a successful deal. Ethical and honest business practices are the hallmark of the business and no other firm has sold more dry cleaning stores on the East Coast. The Stones work closely with experienced professionals in the legal, environmental and accounting fields to insure a smooth sales transaction.
Dry Cleaning Plus has done business in 15 states and Costa Rica, working with some of the most prestigious cleaners and restoration companies. The principals will work anywhere in the country and with all nationalities, even when language is a barrier. The company looks forward to working with clients who are open to new ideas and technologies. Although not able to help everyone reach their goal, all clients get full effort and attention.
The Dry Cleaning Plus team has always gone beyond just listing a dry cleaning business. Bringing more focus to the individual, not just the business, allows personal goals to guide the process and to successfully change the lives of people going in and out of the industry. This brings out the creative side of a business transaction and has led to innovative deal structures. Sometimes, after listening to ideas to make a business more sellable, a seller feels a renewed enthusiasm and decides to stay. Each sale is different as are reasons to sell. A seller may be ill; operators are divorcing; parent and child are not in sync.
